What is there to do in Sicily?

Fortunately, in addition to kitesurfing, there is also a lot to see, taste and experience. In this blog we take you through a number of popular activities and good tips for delicious food and drinks during your kite holiday in Sicily!

Activities & Things to do

eat Drink

Welcome to Italy! Good food and good drinks are what the Italians are known for! Below is a selection of some good restaurants where we will eat during our camps! Do you have any good tips yourself? Send them to us!

A beautiful castle near Trapani. It is located on a mountain of approximately 750 meters high, so don’t forget to bring a warm sweater in the evening. On a clear day you have fantastic views and it is great to spend an afternoon walking around here.

Climbing in Sicily

Ready for a new challenge? Or maybe you already have experience climbing a rock? Near Marsala / Trapani region there are several climbing spots with climbing routes for every level! There are several schools where you can easily rent gear. A party we recommend is: https://www.crimpandgoodlife.com/

Natural SPA

Enjoy a day in natural hot water springs. Relax completely and enjoy the volcanic baths. And all for €0.00🙂

Egadi Islands

Highly recommended. A beautiful group of islands off the west coast of Sicily. You leave in the morning by boat and sail to this paradise in about an hour. You can fish and swim along the way and once you have arrived you can drop anchor in one of the beautiful bays. There are several restaurants on the island and it is fun to go on an adventure or just enjoy the nice weather. In high season it can be quite difficult to find a boat, so if you don’t see any wind coming one day, plan the trip in time!

Temple of Segesta

Just outside Segesta is a beautiful old temple that has been well preserved. Definitely worth taking part of a day to see.

Mountain biking

There are some fantastic mountain biking trails in western Sicily. There are also many cycle paths from Lo Stagnone from which you can take beautiful tours! To rent bicycles and find the right routes, we recommend visiting:

It is not the best spot in the world for wave surfing, but especially for beginners you can catch wonderful waves and have a nice day of paddling. The same goes for SUP, there are some beautiful trips to paddle across the lagoon and in the rivers.
