Passport (valid for at least 6 months) and driver’s license
If you booked a shared room: you’ll sleep with up to 2 fellow kiters of the same gender. Earplugs are always handy if you like to get to bed early.
T-shirts, bikinis, boardshorts, etc. During the day it’s around 30°C and in the evenings about 20–25°C.
The water is beautifully warm so you can kite in just your boardshorts! Just be careful with the strong sun – protect yourself with long lycras and caps.
Sunscreen and sunglasses – both waterproof, so they won’t come off while kiting.
A snorkel set is always fun to bring along.
Games are always fun to bring along.
TIP: Bring some old clothes or items you no longer use for the locals. In Africa they are super happy with that!!

Kite gear

Try to bring all kite sizes you have. The wind can vary from 5 Bft to 3 Bft – so every size counts!

Make sure all your kite gear is packed in a boardbag.

Missing some gear? No worries – we’ll bring it for you! Everything is also available in our KiteActive shop. Just let us know in advance what you’d like so we can pack it for you. We always have great deals waiting for you!
During the trip, the KiteActive team and fellow travelers will be taking photos. Prefer not to appear online or on social media? Just let our team know.

Only for Level 1 and 2 we provide standard gear for you. Otherwise, you’ll need to arrange it yourself or book it with us. This can be done up to a few days in advance – after that it’s too late. Not sure about your level or gear? Get in touch with us!!!
Kite lessons are provided by our own team and with our own equipment. Have you booked Level 1 or 2? Then gear is included. For other levels, you’ll need to bring your own kite gear or rent it from us. Renting gear from us? Bring your own shorty and harness if you have them! Don’t have these? Get in touch with us – we’ll need your size and some extra info. Please send this to us at least 1 week before departure.
Airport transfer – Make sure to send us your flight details on time so we can pick you up from the airport!
