Level 3 – Ready for your first rides?
Kickstart your kite journey with KiteActive

Kitesurfing is all about working with the power of nature – and that makes every session unique. Our stoked team will guide you with tips & tricks and help you get the best out of your kite journey.

With this package, our main goal is to get you on the water as much as possible… to practice! At this stage, it’s all about spending hours on the water, pushing through, and every now and then we’ll jump in with the perfect tip at just the right moment!

< Level 2 – Beginner + | Level 4 – Independent on Flat Water >

  • This package does not include equipment rental. You can add it as an option during your trip.

  • We don’t count hours – we focus on your goals!

When are you Level 3?

You’re at Level 3 – Waterstart when you’re riding your very first real meters on the water. That means you:

  • Have solid control of the kite in the wind window.
  • Can make your first waterstarts of 5 meters or more.
  • Know how to retrieve your board after a crash and give it another go.
  • Ride short stretches, but aren’t yet consistently riding long distances.
  • Are starting to practice controlled stops and relaunching your kite from the water.

In short: you’re right at the point of truly learning to kitesurf – the first successes are there, and now it’s all about stacking up the meters and building confidence.

What will you learn?
And what does your course look like?

With the Waterstart package, you’ll learn to kitesurf independently and build even more confidence on the water. You’ll work on riding upwind, making your first transitions, and giving your kite experience a serious boost. Together with like-minded riders, you’ll discover step by step how fun and rewarding it is to spend hours progressing on the water.

Waterstarts: Preparation & Expectations

Mental preparation: No prep needed – we’ll help you build confidence and push your limits. Just be ready for a challenge and a bit of perseverance. The reward? HUGE!

Physical preparation: No special training needed – we’ll guide you step by step. Of course, being fit will always work in your favor!

Technical knowledge: You should have solid kite control and be able to (re)launch and land the kite independently. You should have already attempted at least one waterstart.

Requirements

  • You’ve already made some waterstarts

Duration of this Level

Hard to say – there are many variables that can influence it, such as:

  • Your mental focus and determination
  • Your fitness level
  • A professional instructor who can analyze and coach you well
  • Your theoretical preparation

If all of these factors are about average, you can learn to kitesurf within a week and even start riding upwind!
