Why should you go to Zanzibar?
This winter we’d love to take you to an exotic destination that makes every kitesurfer’s heart beat faster: Zanzibar! This enchanting island in the Indian Ocean is not only a paradise for sunseekers, but also a true kitesurfing paradise on earth. Let’s fly our kites in the sun and dance under the African starry sky!
Zanzibar is famous for its powder-white sandy beaches, crystal-clear lagoons, and perfect wind conditions – the ideal environment for kitesurfers of all levels. From beginner-friendly lagoons to challenging reef waves for experts, this island offers a wide range of spots where you can progress your skills and learn new tricks. And beyond the water, Zanzibar is a unique holiday destination with an amazing vibe!
Whether it’s working on new tricks together with other kiters, enjoying a cold drink on a rooftop terrace while watching a spectacular sunset, or dancing with the Rastafarians in a local reggae bar after a full day on the water – the reasons to join us on this trip are endless.

We do our best to make your trip as affordable as possible! There are plenty of airlines offering good flight options to this paradise island. KLM flies directly from Amsterdam to Zanzibar on Thursdays and Sundays. Want to save money? Try searching for flights to Dar es Salaam via momondo.com – this can sometimes save you more than €100. From Dar es Salaam you can take the ferry to the island for around $35 if you’re up for an adventure, or a local flight for about $70. It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on flight comparison websites for the very best deals. We’re flexible with dates, and you can always contact us for advice. Need help finding your perfect flight? Just let us know – we’ll arrange it for you!
Kitesurfing for beginners and advanced riders
We like to call Zanzibar the “kitesurf nursery” because the conditions are simply perfect for learning. Warm blue water, huge standing areas, steady wind without harsh gusts – the ultimate playground for beginners. For advanced kiters, the reef offers clean waves for epic downwinders, while the flatwater lagoon is ideal for practicing new tricks. With our team by your side, we’ll make sure you progress as much as possible on the water!
What else can you do?
Zanzibar offers so much more than just kitesurfing. The island has a rich history and culture, with influences from Africa, Arabia, and Europe. After a day on the water, taste the local cuisine, wander through the narrow alleys of Stone Town, or join a spice tour to discover the secrets of Zanzibar’s exotic spices.
We hope this newsletter has inspired you to take the leap and ride the waves of Zanzibar. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced kitesurfer, this tropical island has everything you need for an unforgettable experience.
