I had a fantastic time in Zanzibar. Great place, good lessons, and a really great atmosphere. I would definitely go on holiday with Kite Active again!

Fantastische tijd in Zanzibar gehad. Fijn hostel, goede lessen en bovendien een onwijs leuke sfeer. Ik zou zeker nog eens met Kite Active op vakantie gaan!

Huh?! Tarifa in januari? Huh?! Jaaaa! Wat een geweldige week met KiteActive was dit. De perfecte balans tussen de voordelen van een groepsreis (samen het water op, elkaar helpen op het strand, tips en progressiesessies) zonder de nadelen (geen verplichte of semi-verplichte activiteiten).

Ik ging redelijk bleu de trip in maar mijn verwachtingen zijn vér overtroffen. De eigenaar van KiteActive, Felix, begeleidde de reis samen met een team van super sociale en ervaren kitesurfers. Dat zijn gezin mee was, was zo gezellig! Voelde echt alsof we met onze selfmade family op vakantie waren haha 😊

Van de 7 dagen hebben we er 6 kunnen kiten — wat de trip natuurlijk sowieso mega geslaagd maakte. We hebben alle condities meegemaakt. Van downwinders met killerwaves tot heerlijke lagoonsessies en een prachtige sunsetsessie als afsluiter.

De begeleiding was top: elke ochtend een heerlijk verzorgd ontbijt, een relaxte maar duidelijke organisatie en genoeg nevenactiviteiten waar je vrijblijvend aan kon meedoen—zoals hiken, een wing clinic door Bart, de bonte avond en natuurlijk; de tintotrein. De sfeer in de groep was heel fijn. Echt mijn fijnste kitetrip tot nu toe!

Handige tips voor toekomstige kiters:
• In het WildHouse slaap je in een dorm met meerdere mensen, super gezellig, maar neem oordopjes mee.
• Tarifa is dynamisch qua wind dus neem al je kitematen mee.
• Het weer kan alle kanten op: laagjes kleding mee dus 🙂
• Een auto (of autodelen) is aan te raden—ideaal om te gaan en staan waar je wilt.

Alle info vind je ook op de website van KiteActive en vooraf is er ruim mogelijkheid om je vragen te stellen en je medekiters vast een beetje te leren kennen. Kortom: kiten met KiteActive in Tarifa is een absolute aanrader voor kiters die een relaxte, sociale en goed georganiseerde trip zoeken.

I had a blast with KiteActive! They ensure a safe vacation while maximizing Kitesurfing classes & experience at beautiful spots and most of all with nice groups. Fun week ensured!

I joined KiteActive on the TV TAS 2022 downwinder. For me it was a long lasting dream to kite along the wadden islands and the trip really was a mindblowing experience. Now a week later, I still feel stoked! KiteActive managed to organise the trip in a safe way by having a large team of pro-kiters on the water who were able to perform rescues in case of any emergency, a RIB with an experienced crew who looked after us during the crossings and safeTRX watches which could be used to alert the coast guard. The downwinder lasted only 2 days, but it felt like a complete holiday. Kiting in between groups of hunderds of seals, while having a full rainbow on the background in the direction we were sailing, just sketching one of the pictures in my mind which will never fade away. Flat water spots, nice waves to play in, 4m swell during crossings, a nice combination of all sort of conditions. A trip of a lifetime. A big thanks for the KiteActive team, looking forward to the 2023 edition!

Yallah habibi, what an epic week this was! Just got back from Egypt after my second kite holiday with KiteActive — and once again, absolutely worth repeating!

The spot is amazing: you can walk straight from your hotel room onto the (kite) beach. The collaboration with Kitelagoon Hurghada was top-notch — we were fully taken care of (pumping kites, launching and landing, chill tunes on the beach, warm tea during breaks). Everything was perfectly arranged by KiteActive as well — from a group chat and quick replies to any questions, to thinking along about boardbags and capturing awesome (action) shots!

We also had such a fun group (which of course KiteActive can’t fully control), but it made the week even better. On the — luckily only two — windless days, we went wakeboarding, snorkeling, and just enjoyed the resort to the fullest. Under the always cheerful (and super experienced) supervision of Roderick, this week was not only super fun but also incredibly educational — what a legend he is!

Beginner or advanced: I recommend going on a trip with KiteActive to everyone — you won’t regret it 🙂 Let’s go!

Last weekend I did with Kite active the most ultimate downwinder of the Netherlands, which is TV TAS. With this downwinder you pass by all 5 wadden Islands, which are Texel, Vlieland Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermoniksoog. The downwinder was actually even longer, because we started from the mainland of the Netherlands, at Den Helder instead from Texel. Even though it’s a 2 days kitesurf trip, it’s been the best kitesurf trip for me so far. The thrill of passing all the wadden islands which is world heritage UNESCO, is a undescribable experience. The trip itself was very good organised bij the people from Kite active. They are very experienced kitesurfers, and they know the area very well. They are very friendly, give good briefings, and this not only at the start, but also at several other locations where necessary. Alse the hotel on Terschelling was very nice. The boat trip back, and the bus back to Den Helder was perfect organised. Be aware to be an experienced kitesurfer. Don’t under estimate it, it’s great if you’re an advanced kitesurfer with enough experience to kite in big waves on sea. Despite the advanced level of all kiters in the group, we had to wear a Safetrx whatch for our safety. Which really made this trip possible and safe.

Geweldige kitetrips met Kiteactive! Inmiddels twee keer meegeweest (Tarifa en Rhodos). Dikke kitesessies met leuke mensen op de mooiste stranden! Enthousiaste en relaxte organisatie. Absolute aanrader!

Heel bijzonder concept, geweldig hoe Roderick en Felix zo’n mooi avontuur weten neer te zetten in Brazilië. Dit is echt een dikke vette aanrader! 🙂
