We went again! This time the trip took us to Rhodes in May 2025! What a fantastic week, full of wind, kite adventures, fun, and delicious food. Highly recommended with this top team! And now back home enjoying the most fantastic photos and videos from Edwin Robert. I want to go back!!

Genoten in Sicilië!
In juli 2025 ben ik met KiteActive naar Sicilië geweest. Mijn eerste keer kitesurfen, wat een geweldige ervaring!
Onder prima omstandigheden (de meeste dagen wind) en dankzij de goede lessen heb ik kennis kunnen maken met deze mooie sport.
Goede organisatie, leuke mensen, lekker eten en een toplocatie. Alles was super geregeld. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! KiteActive, bedankt voor deze mooie week!

Just got back from a week in Tarifa with the KiteActive gang – what a brilliant week, we had wind pretty much every day, stayed in the excellent Wild House hostel, lovely group of humans (“my beautifuuul people!” as Henny would say) and Hilke and Cher were amazing group hosts!

Op kite vakantie naar Sicilië en de Waddenzee geweest met KiteActive. Enorm goede begeleiding, fijne kite spots, goed gegeten, leuke alternatieve (weinig wind) programma’s met goede tips en vooraf goed geholpen met boeken. Alles was mogelijk ! Absolute aanrader!

Vrij last minute geboekt, maar door flexibiliteit vanuit de organisatie toch nog mee kunnen gaan. Een hele toffe kitevakantie gehad, goed geregeld, enthousiast team en gezellige groep. Zeker een aanrader! (Sicilië is ook zeker aan te raden als je nog weinig / geen ervaring hebt)
Toevoeging 2025: ik vond het zo leuk dat ik gewoon nog een keer gegaan ben. Wederom mega goede kite instructeurs met bakken aan ervaring, leuke groep, genoeg mega leuke niet-kite-gerelateerde activiteiten en feestjes. Enorm genoten!!

Last weekend I did with Kite active the most ultimate downwinder of the Netherlands, which is TV TAS. With this downwinder you pass by all 5 wadden Islands, which are Texel, Vlieland Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermoniksoog. The downwinder was actually even longer, because we started from the mainland of the Netherlands, at Den Helder instead from Texel. Even though it’s a 2 days kitesurf trip, it’s been the best kitesurf trip for me so far. The thrill of passing all the wadden islands which is world heritage UNESCO, is a undescribable experience. The trip itself was very good organised bij the people from Kite active. They are very experienced kitesurfers, and they know the area very well. They are very friendly, give good briefings, and this not only at the start, but also at several other locations where necessary. Alse the hotel on Terschelling was very nice. The boat trip back, and the bus back to Den Helder was perfect organised.
Be aware to be an experienced kitesurfer. Don’t under estimate it, it’s great if you’re an advanced kitesurfer with enough experience to kite in big waves on sea. Despite the advanced level of all kiters in the group, we had to wear a Safetrx whatch for our safety. Which really made this trip possible and safe.

Sicilie is de perfecte kitesurf-ervaring!
Het team is uiterst professioneel en enthousiast. Door de ervaring van het team leer je heel veel heel snel en door hun enthousiasme wil je door blijven gaan. Als beginnende kiter voel je daardoor meteen vertrouwt om lekker gas te geven.
Wat KiteActive naast het kiten echt heel goed doet is een super gezellige sfeer neerzetten o.a. door activiteiten te organiseren op dagen dat er niet gekite kan worden, denk aan een wijnproeverij, een grote party-motorboot huren. Ze betrekken op een leuke manier heel de groep, waardoor niemand achterblijft en je snel het idee hebt met goede vrienden op kiteavontuur te zijn.
Dit was mijn tweede KiteActive vakantie en er gaan sowieso meer volgen, dikke aanrader!

KiteActive started out by organizing kite and sailing trips along the Wadden Islands. The combination of a week of intensive kitesurfing (lessons) and a holiday in a place with all the essentials – wind, beach, water, and a laid-back vibe – turned out to be a winning concept.
Our passion for travel and kitesurfing has taken us to countless kitespots around the world, and we’re still on the hunt for the best destinations to (learn to) kitesurf. Thanks to the experience and enthusiasm of our instructors, KiteActive has grown steadily. In 2011, we expanded to Tarifa and Brazil, and in 2012, Zanzibar. Many other unique destinations followed. Each spot has its own perks, from budget-friendly options to the ultimate experience. But what every trip has in common: a unique location, great kitespot, relaxed atmosphere, active no-wind activities, and our experienced instructors.
